How to read this game
Scatters are the free-spin trigger. Seeing 1–2 scatters land often is normal and means nothing for the next spin — each spin is independent. “Almost triggering” the bonus is the classic near-miss feeling that keeps players spinning longer than planned.
Wilds substitute for regular symbols and drive most of the visible “action.” A wild-heavy screen looks exciting but does not change the game’s built-in payout rate.

One more thing a single figure hides: where a game pays back differently depending on how you bet, Ontario’s gaming standards require the operator to disclose the lowest of those percentages — because one machine can carry several. Read any number here as “no worse than this”, not as “this”.
Worth knowing: IGT’s ported classics cluster lower and just as tightly: 94.94%, 94.98% and 95.02% across three unrelated titles. Figures like these track the studio’s conversion setting more than the game itself — and they describe an online build, not the machine on a casino floor, where the venue picks the payback.
The bigger lever nobody mentions
Across every Konami title we could source, the whole spread in return is under 2 percentage points. But Nevada’s reported averages by denomination span three times that: penny machines returned 88.15% against 93.4% on dollar machines. The cheap-looking machine keeps the most.
⚠ And this is exactly where that fact turns into a trap. Cost per hour is bet × spins × edge — so a ₱10 spin on the worse percentage costs about ₱711 an hour, while a ₱100 spin on the better one costs about ₱3,960. The better return on the bigger bet loses you more, not less. Stake size beats payback percentage, every time.
And players do not appear to notice payback at all: researchers compared paired machines whose house edge differed by nearly 7 percentage points and found no significant migration away from the worse one.
